In what ways does you media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

When planning and researching into music videos, we also came across theories that people had created about what a music video should involve. We came across Goodwins' theory and his idea of illustration. We stuck to this whole idea of cutting on the beat and having literal images of what was being said. We also stuck to the literal idea of what the band should look like depending on their genre. So in our case we needed a band of 4 males all playing an instrument in a big room together.
